Welcome to the premier of Crow Voices!  Introducing Peggy Wellknown Buffalo, who comes from a line of chiefs and medicine women and who practices traditional ways.  Her 16 year old grassroots non-profit organization, the Center Pole, is a learning center on historical land, located just below the Little Big Horn Battlefield Monument.  In 2014, she was recognized as an Unsung Hero of Compassion by the Dalai Lama.  This podcast will discuss the historical trauma as well as the healing of spiritual ways and the importance of healing ourselves in a variety of ways to release the bonds that hold us back.  First, we need to know ourselves and our history.  It is time to stand up for ourselves, be proactive and spread the good news about who wer are.  Peggy believes the American public needs to know what is going on in Indian Country and come to understand their ways.

This first show will discuss the Doctrine of Discovery, based on a documentary by Sheldon Wolfchild (Dakota) and how it continues to negatively affect Native Americans today.
