Diversity, Who needs it?

Communication is key to mostly everything we do?  The field of Human and Social Services have many barriers  for many diverse reason.  Do you as a client or a houseparent that service clients feel that the line of communication is open for suggestions? If not, why?   It takes more than someone they call expert to talk about diversity with empty substance.
