Sick and Tired~

Today I am both sick and tired. Nothing to worry about, it's just a cold. But the cold reminded me of this expression that my mother would use when I was not performing to the fullest extent of which I was capable. This expression would often proceed statements such as, ". . . that your homework isn't finished", or ". . . that it was your turn to clean the kitchen, and it is a mess." It was always used in conjunction with a perceived deficiency over which I had control. The follow on expression was the phrase "Make it mind", which was a reminder that I was to be in control of myself, and hense my environment.

As I grew older I also came to understand that there were thinge that I did not control, and I needed to learn the difference so I would not waste my energy trying to 'fix' things that could not be fixed.

The search for truth is a part of this situation, where the finding of truth and the application of truth can be viewed a separate issues. Learnng and Knowing Truth 'Makes us mind' what happens in relation to our eternal life. But before we can find truth we must first becoms 'sick and tired' of our current condition which prompt and promotes the learning and knowing.

Learning truth is not enough, we must put that truth into action in our intellect and in our lives. We must 'know' the Truth, then 'DO' the truth, and THEN the Truth will make us free.
