We have all heard someone use the term 'the plain truth', or 'the truth is always plain and simple'. Yet if truth was simple to understand, and plain to see, why are there not more people that 'believe and practice' the truth? One example of a 'truth' that is plain and simple to Christians is 'Easter'. Even more than Christmas, Easter represents to the Christian the culminating reason as to why Jesus came to earth; that is, to die for the sins of anyone that says they 'believe' in Jesus.

Yet if you believe what is taught as truth about Easter by the Christian church (as an example), then you will be missing the one of the greatest and most important lessons that Jesus came to the earth to teach. Here is a link to that lesson: http://spiritoftruthministry.net/STM/Must_Read/Entries/2007/6/15_The_Sabbath_Resurrection_of_Christ.html

That lesson is almost entirely opposite of what is the truth about the death and resurrection of Jesus. And THAT is why Spirit of Truth Ministry accepted the commission of Jesus in Matt. 28:19-20. The TRUTH is almost never what a person has been taught, in a religious sense. So to learn the truth about the truth you must first give up what you now believe to be true, and learn as does a child-without emotional lenses that distort and create a truth that sounds plausable, but is not.
