Carmen Straight is a Canadian, who has mainly followed the Tibetan Buddhist Mahayana tradition since 1994. Her main teachers are His Holiness the Dalai Lama who is in exile in Northern India; His Holiness Jetsun Kalka Dhampa, also in Northern India; Longtrul Rinpoche from the Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist tradition; and Lama Zopa Rinpoche who is the spiritual director of the Maitreya Project, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition and the holder of these precious relics. She has been travelling around the world with these holy relics for over four years now.
