In 2004, Kevin Cullis was looking for an outlet for his energy, talents, and knowledge of computers, so he decided to write down his experiences and how businesses should view computers, their benefits, and especially their costs. Getting daily feedback from interactions with business owners, he decided to turn his writings into a book about computers, but with a twist: Computers from a business owner perspective. Not a geeky book, but one that shows the pros and cons and business cases for using a computer covering Windows, Mac, and Linux. After a six-year writing journey, Kevin’s first book How to Start a Business: Mac Version was released.
Kevin now uses his years of experience, talent, and his analytical approach to being effective and efficient in coaching business owners. From their “idea” through to “Open for Business” and beyond, he helps define what business reasons, computer tools, and solutions are needed to start a business.
Kevin donates a portion of his profits and volunteers with Junior Achievement (http://ja.org/), an international organization devoted to teaching K-12 students how to start and run a business.
