In this edition of The Robert Applebaum Show on Shared Sacrifice, I return to the topic of student loan debt and consider its affects on the middle class in light of all of the other economic hardships facing middle class Americans today. The middle class is being squeezed out of existence right before our eyes and those feeling it the worst are those who made the decision to borrow money to obtain an education, but now find themselves unable to make enough money to repay what they borrowed. Although intended to give a helping hand to those least able to afford a higher education, the student loan system has created an entirely new economic caste - the educated poor - from which there is seemingly no escape.
