The City Council in Washington DC recently passed an ordinance that requires certain big box retailers to pay their employees a "living wage" that is substantially higher than the market rate. Predictably, the Store the legislation was aimed at-Walmart responded by saying essentially, fine...go ahead and raise our labor costs and we'll take our planned 6 stores and walk. Is Walmart just being greedy or is it really government progressives who have no clue?
Also: We weigh in briefly on the George Zimmerman murder trial in Sanford Florida and military spending to save gophers while DOD civilians are furloughed.
It's good to talk.
