This week I will be talking with Jaime Vernon of Songs for Sound.  Join me to hear about Jaime’s journey with this wonderful ministry.

Songs for Sound is a Nashville-based charity whose core mission is to improve the quality of life for profoundly deaf children worldwide by providing resources to give them the chance at a mainstream life. Songs for Sound will inform the deaf community and provide resources for cochlear implants and rehabilitation, including speech/audiology services, to children in need regardless of race, religion or any other criteria. In 2009, Alexis "Lexi" Vernon, at the tender age of 19 months, went from a silent world to hearing her mommy whisper "I love you, baby girl." It was this miraculous day on July 31, 2009 when Lexi heard her family for the first time; this was the day our mission began. Our goal is to inspire a sense of philanthropy through music-inspired events, raise awareness and donations, and give back the gift God has given us. We will take our mission worldwide helping children obtain the gift of hearing through hearing missions, training, & education.
