Winston County Self Help Cooperative and South Rankin County Farmers Association will join efforts to promote sustainability in rural communities with a live broadcast from Florence, MS on Tuesday April 2, 4:30pm. WCSHC & SRCFA are working collectively in providing technical services to landowners, farmers and natural resources enthusiasts to broaden their management skills. This broadcast will illuminate live from James Gregory’s Farm and member of SRCFA. Gregory will reveal and dispense long held family’s secrets in developing bountiful crops by using minimal inorganic chemicals. He will demonstrate how to transplant cabbage, onions and other cool season vegetables. Activities will conclude with a down home cooked meal prepared by Mrs. Gregory which will includes chicken, greens, homemade cakes & pies, potatoes salad and other healthy food choices. If you cannot participate in person then you can listen to the live broadcast on Tuesday April 2, 4:30pm.
