Zach T. for NOW

Why writing is important to me?  Well, like many people I find writing to be very therapeutic.  And I think we live in a society where relationships are often based on what is marketable or likeable about someone; what we think the world will like about us.  My favorite part about writing and poetry is that it usually transcends that relationship and shows off all our strange inner-worlds where we can explore and communicate with each other through our sincere human-ness.

W R I T E  O N ! is important to me because it encourages that open expression by giving a safe place to improvise writing with positive feedback.  The meditation process encourages the honesty that I look for in writing, since it invites introspection before the pen hits the page.
