We all want to surrender that which brings up emotional distress or makes us unhappy...buy why are we unhappy?  We’ll examine how the ego operates, to convince us that the world we see is real, as well as the prerequisites and steps for Surrender.

Alexander McBride was born in Germany to an Irish father and a German mother with 3 younger brothers and one older sister. He went to school on an American military base.
 
Many events and circumstances impacted his perception of life and led him to seek answers for himself.  The death of his mother at age 14 compounded by the authoritarian military-minded background of his father colored his view of the world as an unfair and unloving place.  His feelings of victimization were later exasperated after being raped at the age of 20 by a motorcycle gang.  
   
After many years of feelings of victimization which bled into all his relationships with others, he broke down and prayed for help to something greater than himself. His prayers were answered shortly afterward on August 8th of 1992, when a profound transformational experience during a firewalk seminar sent his life into an entirely new direction.
 
Alex came into possession of “A Course In Miracles” around this time and has applied the principles to his life.  He attended an online class for ACIM and is now involved with the collective works and studies of Dr. David R Hawkins.
