Today's big story starts with the revelation by a former Move.inc sales rep who claims that “There are so many lies told over the telephone to get real estate agents to pay for these leads." Bad leads, fake names, tire-kickers, rentals, timeshares, and even telemarketers are just some of the junk being sold as leads, according to whistleblower Brian Bobik in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 3rd. Bobik also claims that Move lied about "cancel anytime" clauses in contracts, leads being shared with multiple agents, and even charged "backup" credit cards when agents canceled the primary one to terminate service.
