Should Christians support the Confederate Flag

Should we really be supporting the Confederate flag right now? I am talking specifically to southern, white, conservative Christians. It seems as though that most Christians have been sleeping through the issue of Gay marriage, the horrifying Planned Parenthood debacle, and now that the Confederate flag is being threatened we have all of a sudden woken up.
