Every day there seems to be a new and more distressing development in Ferguson, Missouri. New clashes with the police, military style equipment on the streets against unarmed civilians and the burning of the memorial for Michael Brown, each incident more aggressive and disrespectful than the last. One day the chief announces body cameras for officers, a positive step, and then ' clashes ' with law enforcement a few hours later. People around the globe are shocked at the world standard bearer for fair treatment and equality displaying this level of hatred for a group of its citizens. It is here that we must ensure that people understand, this is nothing new, truly it is par for the course and a reality America is still not ready to deal with honestly.  The insistence by many that we now live in a post racial world is laughable to those of us who experience unfair and unjust treatment daily.
