Dennis Lewis, a longtime student of the Gurdjieff Work, Advaita, and Taoism, teaches the transformative power of presence through breathing, Qigong, meditation, and self-inquiry. Dennis is co-editor with Jacob Needleman of two books: Sacred Tradition & Present Need and On the Way to Self Knowledge. A recognized authority on natural, authentic breathing, Dennis is the author of the acclaimed books The Tao of Natural Breathing and Free Your Breath, Free Your Life, the three-CD audio program Natural Breathing, and the just released book Breathe Into Being: Awakening To Who You Really Are. Dennis Lewis studied with several Taoist and Qigong teachers, including Dr. Wang Shan Long, Mantak Chia, and Bruce Kumar Frantzis. His main teacher in the Gurdjieff Work was Lord John Pentland, the man Gurdjieff chose to lead the Work in America. He also studied for three years with Jean Klein, a remarkable master of Advaita Vedanta.
