Fighting For Sexual Purity

What does it truly mean to take a stand and fight for sexual purity? Perhaps it means being totally faithful to your spouse , giving all of you and nothing less. Your not going to be caught alone with anyone else. Or it could mean turning your head away from risky and very sexually suggestive magazines meant to destroy your testimony and ultimately your soul. Take a good look and examine the life of Joseph who pursued purity and righteousness and loved the Lord with all his heart, by running away from Potiphar’s wife. We must remind ourselves at times why were fighting for sexual purity. A couple of things come to my mind on this, one is that we are called to be sanctified, seperate, set apart. 1 Thess 4:3 says "It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality". Also Proverbs 23:36 says  My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways. Fighting for sexual purity means we seek to hold fast to our integrity and identity with Christ. It also means we seek freedom in Christ This is why ography is so deadly, because it seeks to seperate us from God and leaves us forgetting who we are in Christ. Indulging in sexual sin of all kinds will take us much farther than were willing to go, and leave us in bondage, and if were not careful can ultimately destroy our soul. May we take up arms and fight for sexual purity for ourselves and those who we know and love.
