Buddy Holly was just a kid from Lubbock, Texas.  Now, more than 5 decades after he died at the age of 22 in an Iowa plane crash on February 3, 1959, his music still impacts the world.  Rolling Stone ranked the writer and singer of "Peggy Sue" & "That'll Be The Day" as 13th among the 50 greatest artists of all time.Gary Moore was born in 1954 but not a fan of rock music. He knew nothing of Buddy Holly until he attended a tribute to him by John Mueller in 2010.

Hey Buddy: In Pursuit of Buddy Holly, My New Buddy John and My Lost Decade of Music is Gary Moore's chronicle of his personal journey to determine what made Holly so appelaing and timeless. He speaks with Buddy's friend & family, people who were there the day of the crash.

After researching and writing his book, Gary Moore uncovered new information about the doomed flight. What really happened that fateful night?  The truth has never before been told.
