Lord, save us from any traps. Set us free like a bird.

Today’s prayer comes from Psalm 91:3

Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from deadly pestilence.

A fowler is someone who traps birds.

A snare is the fowler’s trap.

Pestilence is a deadly disease that affects a whole community.

God will not only save us, but protect us as well.

I like to start everyday with a prayer based on a psalm
