No matter where in the world you may be as you listen to this broadcast, you will be inspired and wowed as Greater Palm Springs Pride bestows its annual Pride Honors on celebrities and community superstars, all inspiring leaders, including the founder of Metropolitan Community Church; a leather community leader and activist; a life-long feminist; community activists; volunteers and an organization that has provided care, prevention and advocacy for twenty-five years in Palm Springs.

The prestigious Pride Honors Awards are presented annually to individuals in order to honor the work they have put into furthering the causes of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their allies.

The 2012 Palm Springs Pride theme “Long May It Wave” is a salute to the worldwide symbol of equality whose rainbow stripes have led a fight for equality while embracing our diversity and celebrating the unity of our community.
