Newsday columnist and Pulitzer Prize-winning social journalist, LAUREN TERRAZZANO believes that ′The Pen Is Mightier than the Sword′ [and chooses] to use her pen as a light-a light to shine in dark places exposing society′s many shortcomings." But at the age of 39, Lauren Terrazzano—a nonsmoker, died of lung cancer.
During Lauren’s life here on earth, she championed the causes of abused children, the elderly, and the homeless, truly becoming a voice for the voiceless. Even until her last days, her mission was to put a human face on her disease and raising public awareness about lung cancer.
Fortunately, her passion lives on, as her father, FRANK TERRAZZANO and co-author PAUL LONARDO, joins us TODAY to discuss this continuing legacy, making a DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD! “Life, with Cancer: The Lauren Terrazzano Story”—A tapestry of Lauren′s life is woven together, taking into perspective her childhood, her accomplishments as a young journalist, and the final three years of her "Life, with Cancer."
It's good to talk.
