Defeating Depression Through Music.  JJ McGuigan is a songwriter/guitarist who is using his music and his story to help others heal. In addition to crafting heart-felt and sometimes edgy tunes, JJ is an advocate for mental health awareness. He has been composing music for over 10 years and was a finalist for VH1's Save the Music Songwriting contest.

After being diagnosed with OCD and depression at age 16, his life shifted. His main focus and passion is writing songs with an emphasis on lyrical creation. He has just wrapped up a 5 song EP that was sung by Garrett Crow and is writing a full-length album with guitarist Brian Elwick.
