Tom Oleniacz

Tom is the Senior Palliative Care Social Worker for the Veterans Integrated Palliative (VIP) Program at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. He, along with a Registered Nurse coordinates the health care for over 50 Veterans suffering with serious, life-limiting “terminal” illnesses.  These patients, on average, have a life expectancy of roughly 6 months to a year.

Tom is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is certified by the National Association of Social Workers as an “Advanced Certified Palliative Care Social Worker”.  He graduated from the University of Southern California and has been in his current position for over 10 years.

This is a second career for Tom.  He is a classically trained actor who spent many years on the road performing at Regional Theatres across the nation. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
