We will be interviewing the cottonwoood poet Robert Hewett Sr,

the cottonwood poet, author of the novel "Thunderfoot" and the poetry book "When I grow Up", and" Down The Road We Came"

Robert Hewett Sr. Was born in Texas in the drought and dust bowl days of 1933, growing up on cotton farms. His father told him adventure stories almost every night, these stories have stirred Robert’s interest in writing many kinds of stories and poetry. He now lives in Kentucky with his wife Martha and devotes his time to his hobbies of writing, watch and clock collecting, and gardening.

He is a member of The Writers and Poetry Alliance an online poetry forum, and his work can be found on Soul Asylum Radio from time to time aired by soulasylumpoetry.com. Almost all of Robert’s writings tell a story, a gift from his father. Having always been fascinated by the Pony Express, the courage of the riders that were mostly teenage boys, or young men in their early twenties. The horses of the Pony Express also held a special fascination to him.

He believed their endurance and willingness to run to their limits had to make them and their rider a partnership of love and commitment. It was with all this in mind that he wrote his novel "Thunderfoot"
