After 25 lucrative years in sales for a few fortune 100 companies. L.J. was board with his work and had just became a single dad after an amicable divorce. A much needed change was in order. So he started an Indie Film Festival. L.J. Rivera III was born in East LA . In college he worked on the newspaper, was active service volunteer and participated in student government. Here is where his journey in the world of entertainment began. Producing several leadership shorts and students films. After months of meetings and a great deal of collaborations by a few interested in the festival concept. Each and every person backed out of the partnership. LJ went on with the very first R.I.P. Horror Film Fest. It was held in November 2013 on campus at Cal State Long Beach. Now the festival is based in the LA/Hollywood area and will celebrate year 5 in 2017! "Indie films need an outlet and if we build it, they will submit!"
