Join your host Marcia Johnson as she explores "Love Amid Chaos" with author Christina L. Ibbotson. Christian became a beautician at age 20. By the age of 27, she discovered a hidden talent and special passion for writing. While engaging that new hobby, she wrote a love letter to a fellow who immediately responded, not to discuss the romance she was dreaming of having with him, but to tell her how she was “missing the boat” in life and should be a writer! She took his word for it and wrote four novels, all of which she set to the side and let collect dust until now. Favoring the role of novelist, she finally came away from hairdressing and switched careers at age 50. She has two children and a granddaughter. Christina now lives in New Jersey with her daughter, Desiree. Friends, never let an unpleasant experience in life go wasted. The situations happen for a reason. Use the experience to grow from it, to do something with it, and to help others who might be going through something similar. I no longer see unpleasant circumstances as curses or damnation, but rather as the perfect material for my writing. Love Amid Chaos is the product of just that: a painful situation turned into material for the fictional novel that I published.
