Tonight- Michigan House members in Lansing hold a public hearing to discuss allowing Industrial Hemp cultivation in the state. The battle continues for the Green family even after overcoming criminal charges and major challenges with Child Protective Services. The Ann Arbor Medical Cannabis Guild hosts a fundraiser at the Rush Street Bar in Ann Arbor tonight, for the National Patients’ Rights Association, the group responsible for advancing patient friendly bills in the state legislature. And, 'Yes Weed Can' a theater production concerning the issue of decriminalizing cannabis, will play throughout the month of March at the Planet Ant Theater in Hamtramck.

Joining us tonight- Steve Sharpe, MI NORML board member, has been working with law makers to introduce an Industrial Hemp bill, and has attended and participated in the most recent public hearing on the issue.

Robin Schneider, Legislative Liaison for the National Patients’ Rights Association, will be attending the fundraiser for NPRA, hosted by the Ann Arbor Medical Cannabis Guild, also expected to be attended by members of both organizations, Darrell Stavros from the 3rd Coast Compassion Center, attorney Denny Hayes, Representative Jeff Irwin, local government leaders and area supporters.
