Marriage Booboos -- The Parker J Cole Show --- **REBROADCAST**

Some time ago, my sister came over to visit. We sat for a while talking about any and everything like sisters do. The subject eventually turned to our appearance. My twin said, "I'm fatter than you." To which I said, "No, I'm fatter than you." Delightfully arguing about why each of us was the bigger twin, suddenly my husband got up and walked by us on his way to either do something manly like playing video games or to escape. I'll never be sure. "Baby," I called out to him, "be honest: which one of us is fatter? Me or her?" 

I've never seen a man look more like a deer caught in headlights while trying to avoid the aim of a hunter's gun. "Like he's gonna pick either one of us as the fattest!" My twin roared with laughter as hubby rushed down the hall and away from us. "No matter which way he answered that, it was gonna be wrong."

Oops! I made a marriage booboo.

Sometimes they're small little faux pas like the one I mentioned above. Other times they’re bigger and more serious, like hurtful words and actions. Perhaps they’re precipitated by internal things like insecurity, jealousy, or unforgiveness. Perhaps it’s a secret we haven't shared. Whatever it is, marriage booboos happen. Can we survive them?
