Senator Earl L. “Buddy” Carter is a Republican representing Senate District 1. He represents the Metro Savannah area including Bryan and portions of Chatham and Liberty counties.
Senator Carter serves as Chairman of the Public Safety Committee and is a member of the Appropriations, Health and Human Services and Higher Education committees. He also serves as the Majority Party Chief Deputy Whip.
