Spiritual Connection Through Photography

After graduating from the University of Maryland in Heidelberg, Germany, Marea moved to Bellevue, Nebraska in 1987, expecting to be here only a short time. After 15 years here, still homesick for Europe, she resolved to see Nebraska with new eyes, seeking out all of the natural beauty to be found in this area and capturing it in her nature images. She still returns to Europe at every opportunity and markets herself internationally. Marea added destination photography to her menu of services in 2008, offering clients the option of her either accompanying families on their travels or meeting them at their holiday destinations for professional photo journaling of their once-in-a-lifetime adventures, creating beautiful heirloom albums for them upon their return home.

Marea is also a published writer, having contributed articles to a local paper and women’s magazine beginning in 2000. Her essay “Stages of Life” was included in the book “Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy”, edited by Tami Briggs, in 2009. 

This year, Marea is launching ideal–eyez, putting her photography and life skills to use providing a more personal and purposeful service to clients through the creation of digital visualization tools in the form of short movies to inspire, encourage, and motivate people toward their dreams and goals. Once her children are both in college she will leave Nebraska for a new adventure, which will certainly involve both photography and writing.
