Baltimore native, author Sujata Massey, talks about her latest book. Titled The Sleeping DIctionary, it is set in pre-war and pre-independance India, it tells the tale of an orphaned peasant girl as she makes her way through the world. Her journey details the turmoil of British-ruled India and the quest for independance. It's a great story.
But Sujata has always been known for her award-winning murder mysteries. Her detective, Rei Shimura, travels to different locales to solve nurders. She solves them in Japan - where the author lived for two years, in Hawaii, etc.
