Are you caught in a race where the finish line is never in sight? Having achieved one goal, you find that another goal has already taken it's place? Purchase something that you always wanted and all of a sudden get the feeling that nothing has changed? It's certainly okay to reach a goal or purchase something you like. What I’m talking about now is more about recognizing why the goal was important in the first place?the reason why we purchased that thing; why/what we felt we were lacking prior to purchasing that item. What was our relationship to the purchase, and how it does it reflect a part of ourselves?and how to do this in a healthy way. We need to learn to be in touch with the material world in a way that both accepts/acknowledges it, while at the same time gives us a sense of awareness/consciousness so we can find ourselves being grateful and appreciative. For me at least, this feels a lot better than getting so caught in the temporary that we get caught in a cycle of creating suffering for ourselves, and others. This week we’ll explore the endless ways in which we buy into what is "temporary" and "external" to that which is our true happiness and what we can do about it - Right now!
