Happy Thursday, fellow Patriots - time again for Patriot Education on BTR tonight at 6:00 pm EDT. Tonight's topic:
Education and The Work Ethic
In the past, education has always been the way out of poverty. Our public schools were intended to give each and every child a chance to make the most of themselves, without artificially lifting up or holding them down based on economic status. Education required effort on the part of a student and there was no promise or guarantee that it would be "easy" or "fun." The understanding that anything worth having requires effort to obtain was deeply ingrained in our culture. Now, we have an "entitlement" society full of "professional victims" who appear to believe that government (aka "everyone else") owes them whatever they can conceivably want. Are our public schools promoting or discouraging this mindset?
Please join us tonight in the Patriot Ed chatroom on BTR, call in to express your views, or just listen in. YOU ARE THE NATION and your thoughts, opinions, and cations matter!
