   What is the Connection?

 

  Our kids have somehow imbibed the idea that a "grade' is given because the teacher likes you and the only motivation for effort or study is "passing the test."  As the school year winds to an end, I see kids who refuse to do work because "I've already taken my exam, why should I learn anything now?"  When did this trend begin and how do we counter it?
