 FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) Guide-lines and Self-control -     A Classic case of mutual incompatibility. Accommodations for students with "behavioral and learning challenges"do not emphasize the child's responsibilities,only the requirementsfor the schools.  There is no acknowledgement of the fact that these kids will one day have to develop their own conscience instead of relying on an external one supplied by one-on-one aides.  A world where every one else must be "compassionateand caring" enough to ignore disruptive or otherwise inappropriate behaviors is what theyare being led to expect.
