We will be talking with Ms. Alleta about the youth entrepreneurship program that she and PNC bank is apart of. We will also discuss Earn Sick Time a recent bill in City Council being worked on with The Campaign for Working Families. We will also discuss with Michelle Grant (parent of charter school student) her experience with a Christian Academy that her daughter attends on voucher. Attended a Community Budget Meeting by Sen. Williams (and Bright Hope Baptist Church) who went to a private school on the schools scholarship not on a voucher of public school money. Why does he try to act as if the voucher system was out when he was in school is fraud. Sen. Williams also fail to mention that he was bullied at the private school and that his current charter school is failing. So his argument that the school district doesn't properly spend dollars to educate our youth so we have to get the funds to educate our youth is just hot air, for his charter school is failing. Hopefully we will have a chance to discuss this. I attended an Action United Germantown meeting with 8th District Council Candidate Cindy Bass. Great meeting, Ms. Bass spent over two hours listening and talking with the residents concerns. This was Ms. Bass second meeting with the residents and stated that she had spoke with Congressman Fattah about a water run off problem the community was facing and the Congressman suggested the assistance of the Army Engineers. That's called having experience and resources that takes years to acquire. Ms. Bass is truly the perfect candidate and I try not to have candidates on the show because I don't want them gassing us up for votes. So I will get permission to record an event she has and air for you all.
