"When Paige Guthrie Hodges lost her job due to the 2008 economic downturn, she decided it was high time to change her beliefs about what it meant to be wealthy. She started to write it all down and as a result Redefining the Meaning of Wealth was born. The opening part of the book details her personal story of surviving unemployment and dealing with income loss. The chapters that follow feature optimistic yet thought provoking essays such as “Luxuries we take for Granted,”and“Quality vs. Quantity.” Hackneyed societal beliefs and status-quo thinking are questioned. For example, does one really need to own a home to experience the American Dream and how much “stuff” do we really need? No matter what your financial situation, this book will inspire you to come up with your own definition of wealth and invest in your life in an empowering new way. Paige Guthrie Hodges was born and raised in Alabama. She received her B.A. in theatre and English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and attended the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York. Although a Southern girl at heart, she currently makes her home in Los Angeles, California with her Louisiana-born husband, several cats, and a turtle." She continues to work on finding new wealth in her life every day and blogs about it at www.redefiningthemeaningofwealth.com . Her favorite word is y’all and she is one of those cat ladies her mother feared she would become. All content provided for promotional purposes by the author, for the author interview.
