Our Own Voices Live talks about Family, Thanksgiving and the grand opening of Catfish Alley

Our Own Voices Live is a radio show featuring people and stories from our community in Las Vegas and the surrounding area. America is the greatest country on earth due to its cultural diversity and not in spite of it. Our mission is to help bridge the cultural and ethnic divide in America by working together to build the greatest bridge in history to unite us

Join Angela Thomas, Roger Harris and Rodeny Smith as we discuss  Family Thanksgiving and the grandopening of Catfish Alley
How does the family today compare with the family of yester year?
This is the first time in modern history where our children aren’t expected to do as well as their parents. There are more people in jail than ever before. High school graduation rates are lower then ever. Are some cultures doing better or worst than others and why?  Have families become stronger or weaker, what impact has it had on our children and what does the future hold for our families?

Many of us are still full from Thanksgiving but how much do you know about the holiday,  Do you know what president made it popular and when the first Thanksgiving really was.  Do you even know where the first Thanksgiving was celebrated?  We will discuss all of those things plus we'll talk about what the pioneers really ate on that first Thanksgiving.  We will share with you what Thanksgiving was like when we were growning up and now.  Hopefully you will call in with some good family and Thanksgiving stories from your childhood and this last Thanksgiving.  What was your favorite food to eat and what is your favorite food to cook
