Since the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 by Minneapolis Police, there have been over 200 shootings in the Twin Cities, some with fatalities. This is a challenge in Minnesota's Black community, but it seems like no one wants to talk about it. On Tuesday, June 30, a seven-year old child was shot in the foot in north Minneapolis victim of an apparent drive-by. There were no protests, the streets are empty...when do we start a dialog about Black youth shooting and killing each other? This silence by community leaders has been a part of the ongoing norm.
Join Don Allen (the original cohost and co-creator of Black Republican Black Democrat) and Jonathan Mason (Mornings with Mason, LIVE with MASON!) at 9:30AM CST (MN) as we dive into a conversation about what we need to do (solutions) to make this end. As always, our phone lines are open at (347) 426-3904.
