Join the team of Ronald A. Edwards (Black Focus, Rondex Group) and Don Allen, (IBNN, Black Politics in Minnesota, and Our Black News) for the most exciting hour in #BlackTalkRadio.

On Saturday, March 23, at 9:30AM, the team of Ron and Don welcome the Minneapolis NAACP's Kelis Houston, founder of Village Arms and the chairperson of the NAACP Minneapolis’ Child Protection Committee.  Kelis’ personal mission is to address and help eradicate these disparities through legislative action, youth and family advocacy, policy reform and community engagement. She also serves as cultural consultant and trainer to child welfare staff, students and service providers. Her training is designed to bring a new level of cultural awareness to those working for and within the African American community; in an effort to achieve clearer lines of communication and a sensitivity to culture.

Kelis began her career in social services over a decade ago and has since been a voice for marginalized communities.

We talk to Ms. Houston about he legislative efforts in 2019. Phone lines will be open at (374) 426-3904 for questions and comments. Don't miss this program in our "Change Agent Series.
