If Black American ever needed the first black president it’s now. The United States legal system has surreptitiously and sometimes intentionally obstructed justice for blacks while passing out “get out of jail free” cards for people who are not of African heritage.

The United States justice system has a long history of penalizing black Americans. From the days of the Mississippi Codes, to the planned killings of Malcolm X, Fred Hampton and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., each had something in common – the US government was found to have distinct ties in killing these black men. We also must talk about the harsh penalties for blacks as it pertains to the possession, sales and distribution of crack cocaine in comparison with powder cocaine, which held a different penalty because those caught in possession, selling and distribution the powder were white.
