The media reveals that hate crimes come in many flavors. We witnessed the political fight club sparring mightily in the arena of the health care reform debate. We then saw and heard how proponents and supporters decried the racially charged attacks that appeared to accompany partisan challenges. Amidst the bullying and name calling emerged suggestions that some figures were challenged because of gender and even due to latent disdain for homosexual leadership. And not to be outdone, an anti-government agenda also hijacked headlines. However all of these flavors of adversity have one thing in common which is anger, intolerance and hatred. It may cause someone to wonder if the issues are only convenient platforms to exercise hatred that would only find another platform if agreements could be reached in the promoted areas of contention. In other words if one side decided to concede to agreement, would these same people simply find another "cause" to practice their hatred. Still, it is necessary to seek healing from the hatred before we become desensitized to the harm and devastation that it brings. *** These programs are designed to offer tangible solutions to the critical issues that are challenging the quality of life in various populations. We invite forward thinkers, entrepreneurs and solutions oriented talkers to engage in meaningful problem solving. These episodes may be forwarded to government officials (or other interested entities) to let them review solutions oriented discussions.
