While the nation has been fascinated by just how Democratic Senate candidate Alvin Greene won his primary race, there is another candidate running for the same seat currently held by the Republican incumbent Jim DeMint.

Tom Clements is the Green Party candidate for Senate and on June 12th, he made a courtesy call to Mr. Greene and "wished him good luck through the current situation and in the election."

However Mr. Clements says he welcomes the support of Democrats not satisfied with their candidate as well as Republicans tired of their party serving corporate interests. Today we will talk to Tom Clements about his campaign and his platform.

About the Green Party:
The Green Party of the United States is a federation of state Green Parties. Committed to environmentalism, non-violence, social justice and grassroots organizing, Greens are renewing democracy without the support of corporate donors. Greens provide real solutions for real problems. Whether the issue is universal health care, corporate globalization, alternative energy, election reform or decent, living wages for workers, Greens have the courage and independence necessary to take on the powerful corporate interests. Elect Tom Clements for U.S. Senate.
