i kindly used the word privileged instead of arrogant to include All people that think Mikes work is incomprehensible into the discussion.

i didn't say you were lying friend. I simply stated that the conversation went as I described it to Gravel. and again. the reason why I brought it up wasn't to insult you but just to offer Mike some of the misconceptions that are surrounding his proposal so he could dispel them. I'm sorry you took offense

I'm obviously lying about the whole thing cuz I'm just a stupid "privileged kid" right?

I assure you it went nothing like you tried to make it seem in fact I remember clearly you not being able to even address the proof i provided for my point, but rather just stood there saying "i dont understand"...so please tell me why you didn't mention that portion on the air that you tried to justify state initiatives over national and how when i argued for national you virtually had nothing to say...but please don't mention that on the air only what makes you look enlightened becau

ive yet to see an apology for calling me a privileged kid....and its not about settling scores you called me something that honestly i resent being called i have never been privileged and your lack of judgement baffles me...and yea ironically you brought me up while talking about national initiatives...funny how i remember you being so adament about state initiative o.O

naw. the conversation pretty much went as I described it. And you did gloat about how you'd discussed national initiative philosophies in government class and then to say you dont care when you obviously remember the conversation and left a comment is pretty funny. anyway. thanks for listening. too bad you didnt understand the reason why I brought it up to the man himself. surely wasn't to settle some score with someone I don't even know. goes to show.

cut off below and honestly don't care...

To speak for myself because i was mentioned as an 18 year old "privileged kid" on the show..One I am not privileged..you know nothing about me nor my history so please stay out of it...and two you failed to mention the conversation being spoken about..as I recall you called for state initiatives over national, I promptly spoke to you about the confusion it causes and its inability to function in America as exhibited by the failure of the Articles of Confederation and its ultimate manif

Excellent discussion. If only Mike had 2 hours on the mainstream media! But they'll never let him talk. Senator Gravel - you are SO awesome! Thank you for bringing the National Initiative to my attention and for sticking with this presidential race. You are the voice of reason in a quagmire of cults of personality.

Thank you oldhacks. Thank you, Mr. Gravel. You have my support, Mr. Gravel. I have purchased your book, Citizen Power.

Gather the hemp legalization groups together and ask them to support Mike Gravel and the National Initiative.

Our foreign policy IS atrocious. It's like Goya's painting "Chronos devouring his children". I'm as appalled as you are. Petitioning my senators for change by phone calls and letters does not work! How will the National Initiative give people the power to prevent these kind of unnecessary human tragedies?

Mr. Gravel, I want to live in the world you could help us build! We need your knowledge and experience!

Don't confuse ignorance (lack of information/knowledge) with stupidity (lack of intelligence or ability to process and analyze information).

Here's a law I would like to see: If members of Congress fail to perform their duty (ie impeach officials like Cheney and Bush for their actions or give away their war powers to the President or pass any legislation (Patriot Act) without reading it, they will be expelled from office. The people will then have those powers that Congressional members in effect abdicated or misused.

The more I think about these things, the more I really think our central problem is what Mike says it is - we are not empowered and we are not yet using the power we do have right now today to empower ourselves.

How could citizens use the National Initiative to help to determine US foreign policy and how USA treats other countries (ie trade, economic sanctions, war)?
