Ninth Floor Mannequin-Waking from a Coma and Producing Amazing Brain Music

Ninth Floor Mannequin is Jarrod Pedone. So, Ninth Floor Mannequin has been the drummer, composer, engineer & producer for other bands & directors for years. However, Green & Blue for Blackness is the debut solo release. The whole EP was handled from start to finish by Jarrod while he was in recovery from a nasty accident. Upon waking up, he had some musical skills to resharpen and the time to make the music that played in his head into a reality. Jarrod previously never wanted to be “That drummer who thinks that the band should start doing his songs.” However, in his unusual circumstances, Ninth Floor Mannequin & Green & Blue for Blackness were born. Drawing lyrical inspiration from classic short stories and trying to make the music reflect those stories was a creative and musical challenge. Green & Blue for Blackness and even the name, Ninth Floor Mannequin, were the result. 

     Ninth Floor Mannequin lives indefinitely with the record button on. There is a handful of new ideas already sitting on a hard drive somewhere. As usual, the next release is already in progress. Whether the songs will be about spaceships or World War II is still TBD. However, it probably will not be about a cute girl who works at the coffee shop. One thing is for certain. It sure has been an interesting ride from a drum throne at a punk band practice in Staten Island to the front of the stage as Ninth Floor Mannequin.
