On July 8, 2010 a jury in LA found BART police officer Johannes Mehserle guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter for the shooting death of an unarmed, handcuffed man by the name of Oscar Grant III in Oakland, California. Coverage of the verdict was overlooked due to the announcement of NBA player LeBron James with his decision to play for Miami. Oscar Grant's murder was witnessed by several people and was video tapped by BART surveillance yet this act was deemed a "mistake". What messages does this verdict send to the world regarding the value/devalue of black life in America ? Our special guest is Oakland based hip-hop artist and political commentator, Kasi Rocswell. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/kasirocswell
