The second episode leading to "Did You Hear the Moon Go Down - The challenges and unexpected joys of raising a child with a disability" the book I have been formulating over the last 15 years. Listen in, contribute and hopefully learn stuff, be inspired and think differently about people around you - especially those that are differently abled.
This episode deals with the birth and first few days of our son as he entered our/his world. Thoughts, challenges, emotions of the day - in some ways it feels a lifetime ago, yet in others it was just yesterday. The plan for all episodes is to recall these years and know at the same time we've come a long way, yet in others, we've not come far enough.
If this touches a note with you, if you are a parent of a child - young or old - with differences, a disability, is differently abled, and you would like to share your experiences call in - or just listen.
Thanks in advance - I know this is going to be great!
