On Thursday January 2nd at 8pm est,7 pm cst and 5pm pst,we are excited to be starting a new series called Invasive Species. Each episode will feature a Representative of every state's Conservation Department.
Tim Banek, Invasive Species Coordinator of Missouri Department of Conservation will be kicking off this new series. Originally from South Dakota, he received a BA in Biology from Augustana Sioux Falls SD and an MS from the University of South Dakota,Vermillion. He began his career with Oaklahoma Dept. of Conservation. In 1986 he accepted a position with Missouri Dept of Conservation and worked in Southwest Missouri as a Fisheries Management Specialist and Fisheries Management Biologist for 21 years ! In February 2008,he accepted a promotion as MDC's Invasive Species Coordinator.He is enjoying the diversity of his responsibilities and the challenges related to invasive species.
