Washington Nationals' starter Tanner Roark tossed eight scoreless on 110 pitches and the Nats cruised to their ninth straight win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the nation's capital, 6-0 final tonight in D.C., five straight overall for the Nationals, who improved to twenty games over .500 at 56-36 on the year with one more to play with the Pirates tomorrow afternoon. Stephen Drew had a three-double night at the plate. Anthony Rendon homered and the Nats won another in Nationals Park.
