Washington Nationals' right-hander Jordan Zimmermann took a 1-0 lead into the ninth, and recorded two outs, but a walk led Matt Williams to go to the pen and Drew Storen gave up a run scoring double that tied it up at 1-1. The San Francisco Giants went on to win in 18 innings, 2-1 final.
